NAOMS goals and objectives are to promote the advancement of knowledge and research in the field of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery by
Promoting high ethics and standard of clinical practice
Enhancing communication and co-operation between surgeons and institutions and other professional bodies.
Protecting the interest/scope of the specialty and welfare of members
Expressing views on all proposed legislation affecting the practice of the specialty
Co-operating with the specialty into the national health care delivery system
Initiating the integration of health care into the national Health delivery system Serving in the capacity to the Nigerian dental association, the Nigerian Medical association,
panel and government or non-governmental bodies and agencies
Organizing scientific conferences and periodic publication of a scientific journal.
